The Biomega Copenhagen may be one the most beautiful bikes on the planet. But what happens when a bike built by one of Denmarks top designers meets a local Toronto designer? We decided to do a little experiment with the Biomega Copenhagen. To increase the speed we replaced the 26″ wheels with a faster 700c wheel. Since the Biomega is as visually minimalist as a fixed gear, we threw some bright green Velocity rims to sex it up. This is probably the most unique, rare and highly designed bikes we have ever built. Come in and consult with our designers to build your own, there are infinite options.

working in NYC… coloured velocity rims are so IN right now.
But this is dayumm bootyful.
I’m considering buying a Biomega Copenhagen, but Ive been reading some fairly negative comments about the durability of Biomega’s shaft drive on various forums.
have you had any feedback from customers or users of Biomega shaft drive bikes, or seen any other reviews that have made you change your opinion since your entry was originally posted?
Thanks
SR
PS. That said, your version with the velocity rims look fookin’ great
Hey Simon.
Two of our staff ride the Biomega bikes and I am getting one myself. For all-season riding, nothing beats it. The early models had some noise problems in the shaft, but the current shaft is a fourth-generation model that is stiffer, deadly quiet and even more efficient.
Biomega is actually the first company we started importing, and this was nearly six years ago. We’ve sold over 100 in Toronto alone and the reviews have been great. We had one customer whose Biomega was buried under a snowdrift that froze and turned into an iceberg. When we took it apart, the grease was still there and the shaft was working perfectly. So, we love these bikes.
